Special Order Merchandise
While many items ship from our warehouse, we also have items shipped from manufacturers direct to our customers. Please understand that past history has shown that lead times can vary based on a number of factors at the manufacturer. If you have critical dates you need the merchandise for, please contact us prior to ordering and we will help you get a better understanding of options available if needed.
Heavy Item Deliveries (Clawfoot Tubs, Flooring, and Other Heavy Items)
All large items will be shipped via trucking company. The freight carrier will contact you 24-48 hours prior to delivery to arrange a delivery time. The phone number used to contact you will be the daytime and evening phone numbers provided during checkout. Available delivery times will vary depending on the freight carrier’s schedule. You must notify us if delivery location is not accessible to tractor trailers. Please inspect your order on delivery, verify that it is complete, and inspect the packaging and item for any damage. Claims of damage and/or missing items must be noted on the shipping receipt at the time of delivery. On the rare occasion the item itself is visibly damaged, (not just packaging) you must REFUSE DELIVERY and contact us immediately. You should request documentation of your refusal of delivery from the driver. Builders Clearance is not liable for any damages or expenses incurred by the recipient once we deliver merchandise to the carrier: claims such as these are to be filed by you directly to the carrier (claims do not affect your obligations with Builders Clearance for payment of goods). You must notify us within 72 hours of delivery of any missing or mis-shipped items. If you do not contact us within 72 hours, we will consider the order complete and that all terms and conditions for said order have been met.
Free Shipping
Free Shipping applies to pre tax orders totaling $99.00 or more on eligible items delivered within the 48 contiguous United States. Free shipping does not apply to deliveries in rural areas, high rise buildings, and/or areas where a semi-truck cannot be received. All non parcel items will ship via LTL freight and will include residential, liftgate and delivery notification service. Items are considered eligible when “FREE SHIPPING” appears in the listing. Flooring purchases are not included.
Sales Tax
Sales tax will be charged to all orders that are processed with a Georgia shipping address, regardless of the location the product ships from. Remote sellers such as Internet retailers and catalog companies are required to collect taxes in states where the company has a physical presence. Builders Clearance is located in Georgia and therefore taxes are applied to orders which are shipped to Georgia.
The tax rate applied to your order will generally be the combined state and local rate for the address where your order was shipped. Therefore, the sales tax rate applied to your order may be different for an order shipped to your home address than it is for an order for the very same items shipped to your work address.
Returns
We accept returns on eligible items within 30 days of the original purchase date. In many cases, our products are overstock, overruns or discontinued items and therefore, cannot be returned. Please be sure your measurements are correct and that you ask all questions before you buy. Any warranty claims will be handled by the manufacturer within the parameters of the manufacturer's warranty policy. We want your transactions with us to be as smooth as possible and your satisfaction is our main concern.
Items eligible for return must be unused/never installed. We cannot accept and/or credit merchandise that has been installed or used. Please call us so that we can provide you with a Return Goods Authorization Number. Wrench marks on supply lines, job site dings and scratches, open boxes that cannot be re-sold, etc. will not pass our inspection for credit. Items returned without a Return Goods Authorization Number will not be eligible for any credit. Credit amounts are for merchandise only; shipping charges for original purchase as well as return shipping are not eligible for credit.
Special orders may not be returnable and at the least will incur a manufacturer’s re-stock fee (please note: these fees are charged by the manufacturer not Builders Clearance). Please call us and we can answer any questions you may have before you make a purchase. If you find we have made a mistake, and you did not receive the item(s) you ordered, we will go out of our way to rectify your issue at our expense.
Items that qualified for free shipping that are being returned will have our standard shipping charges deducted from refund or credit. The return shipping cost (the cost to send an item back to us) is not refundable.
Please allow up to 8 business days after we receive the package for your return/exchange/refund to be processed. An email confirmation will be sent to you once the return is processed.
It is our recommendation that you inspect your shipment when received and verify you have received what you ordered.

- If you feel you are missing parts, please call us immediately and we will expedite replacements to you.
- Remember to call us for your Return Goods Authorization Number

Select products carry the manufacturers’ standard U. S. warranty (if any-see individual listings), and are subject only to those warranties (issued by the manufacturers). Builders Clearance guarantees only that we will ship to you the item(s) that you ordered. Please contact us prior to placing your order if you have questions about warranties. It is important to remember that warranties differ according to the product and the manufacturer. In the event you feel that you have a warranty claim on eligible merchandise purchased from us, please contact us and we will be happy to reasonably assist you in processing the claim with the manufacturer. At times, manufacturers may authorize us to exchange your original purchase with a new product, however, please understand decisions and policies pertaining to the enforcement of manufacturers’ warranties, repairs, exchanges, and refunds are at the sole discretion of the item(s) manufacturer.
